The Skye Gathering Hall

This wonderful 130 year old hall with a history, welcomes locals and visitors to enjoy a variety of events and functions held throughout the year.

Situated on the edge of the Meall, it proudly overlooks both the village of Portree and the bay.

The hall was built for The Skye Gathering Balls in 1879, and today they are still held annually in the hall. Many Skye weddings have held renowned receptions in the hall, and more details about booking yours can be found on the weddings page.

Craft markets, various meetings, charity dances, piping competitions, a general household goods sale, carboots, local food events and other functions are held all year round..
